The F.Sc program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in science subjects and prepare them for higher education and professional studies in health sciences, medical, allied health, and other related fields. CICON offers six comprehensive 2-year F.Sc Medical Technology diploma programs, affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Islamabad, with clinical exposure at Alkhidmat Razi Hospital.
Trains students in laboratory diagnostics — sample collection, haematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology and pathology laboratory procedures that support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Builds foundational nursing knowledge and bedside skills — patient care, vital signs, infection control, first aid and health education — preparing students for further nursing education and healthcare roles.
Prepares students to assist in diagnostic imaging — X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI procedures — with emphasis on patient positioning, radiation safety and image handling.
Develops the skills to support surgical teams — operating theatre preparation, sterilisation, instrument handling, and assisting surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures.
Covers pharmacy dispensing practice — medication handling, dosage calculation, drug storage, prescription reading and patient counselling under supervision.
Introduces dental clinical and laboratory support — chair-side assistance, dental materials, instrument sterilisation and oral health education.
